A very interesting report, and the bit about the possible of an ‘osmolality effect’ in regard to Daybue especially. It had been in my mind for some time that the diarrhoea symptoms seemed very similar to what happens when you drink that stuff to clean you out before a colonoscopy, And ‘that stuff’ works by drawing liquid into the gut. I was however, thinking along the lines of Trofinetide causing it, not the solution ingredients. It seemed implausible to me that Acadia would not have considered that when they were formulating the Daybue serum. But maybe the fact that 20% of placebo takers got diarrhoea as well, may point the finger away from Trofinetide as the culprit. Diarrhoea seems to be the single biggest challenge to patients, and if it can be overcome with a new formulation that would be a significant plus for uptake I would think.
