Mente, a device which is used to relax the minds of children with autism which has been designed by Malta-based AAT Research, has been launched in a convention which took place in Rome this month.
The device is the brainchild of AAT Research founder, CEO and scientist Adrian Attard Trevisan. It is a portable EEG device that uses neurofeedback technology to soothe children with autism, enabling them to focus better and positively engage the world, and is designed for safe home use.
AAT Research is an innovative group of companies that researches and develops unique medical devices, which holds cooperation agreements with universities and research centres such as the University of Malta and the Università degli Studi di Milano in Italy.
Menta was officially launched in a convention whose theme was "people with autism - a life spent with others" which was organised by the Italian Red Cross (CRI) and by the Consorzio Promosalute, which are the Mente distributors for Italy.
Dr Attard Trevisan and AAT Research chief marketing and operations officer Angelica Micallef Trigona both gave presentations on the company's device.
On his part, Flavio Ronzi, the president of the CRI Rome provincial committee, spoke on the organisation's vision to collaborate with third parties that provide healthcare products and services that positively impact the lives of those affected by serious or disabling medical conditions.
