Found a paper published 11/02/2015, in the nature.com 'Journal of Cerebral Blood Flow & Metabolism'
titled:
'Poly-arginine and arginine-rich peptides are neuroprotective in stroke models'.
The authors appear to be from: the Australian Neuro-muscular Research Institute, University of Western Australia and Phylogica.
From reading the article my take is: they have found cell-penetrating peptides that by themselves, have neuroprotective properties in the treatment of stroke.
