Q1, "do we reward directors?" We already do with the fees they receive. They have the opportunity using some of the fees to by on market if they think the company is worth investing in. If options for me were to be granted then the fees that are given to them would need to be cut back and then the exercise price set far higher than has been put up.This would be incentive enough for any ethical person.
Q2- I feel that there does need a cut in the expenses of fees rewarded to all directors and if one means to this is a further drop in directors who aren't essential so be it.
Q3 mmmm what to think?
