    Shares are not capital - issuing shares give the company capital.

    Capital is what the company NEEDS when it has no income.

    FAR will not have income (not from Senegal anyway) until the field is selling oil in the 2020's.

    I reckon FAR is confident there is a hell of a lot more oil in that basin than any of us know and it must position itself to ensure that it gets to pay its way to finding it (that is 15% of a damn large number of dollars). That is what I call GOOD management.

    Is this such a difficult concept - seems a lot of people misunderstand it.

    Shares that are in the market are worthless to a company that needs cash. So even if the instos and Sophs wanted in and drove the SP up to $100/share by buying off you and me FAR get $0.

    To get money they must issue shares to get capital... Or get a job at McDonalds to help out.
