A pilot friend once told me there is a few minutes of life and death (take off/landing) and a whole lot of boredom in between. Uneven thrust can cause the plane to roll to the less thrusting side. Pilots are taught and practice such events although it might be a little more of a concern in real life?
Strict weight limits allow for engine failure.
Wonder if this was one of the overseas serviced planes?
