I don't like what Roger is doing, he knows he has the upperhand and is trying to score cheap points by belittling this person.
On the subject at hand: I'd like to see Bitcoin used as a cash system but the current state of affairs, chances are something like XRP (not a currency) has a higher probability of doing what it's supposed to do than Bitcoin.
