    The function of the governing bodies is to ensure that the shareholders (owners of the company) are not at the bottom of the pecking order as they have no means to ensure this themselves as opposed to the debt holders who apparently have access to all the latest data and the capacity to negotiate with the management we pay to look after our interests,
