ok- i think that WOW management are serious about hiring the good stuff- the Big W hiring of the oroton exec was a good sign for a start.
what is the biggest problem though is how are they going to get back same store sales against coles?
it is not so much a problem for Woolies as they are on the bottom rung of the ladder anyway and can only go up, but it could impact coles big time as they would cut margin just to compete.
sure, they have Bunnings, Kmart and officeworks to save their bacon, but i really think that WES at current low sp $40 says it all about the lack of investor confidence.
