This "disruption" by the rebel Aldi and Lidl started in Germany 20 years ago, its now moving all over Europe with the major supermarkets in UK and France suffering compressing margins. WOW at 7% operating margins is probably not sustainable where Coles is closer to 6% notwithstanding the onslaught of "rebel" discounter Aldi. The question is how much of the margin contraction is already baked into the share price at current levels?
