Remiss of me not to say in my previous post that I think Luke Cox is doing a fine job of informing punters about Caprice's Murchison block. The regular 60 second update youtube series is a useful format. I don't think LC should have claimed it as a fact about high grade gold but to me it was more puffery than a hanging offence. Anyway, enough of that.
Regarding your comment, hal, that all the easy surface gold has gone: maybe not quite. On 17 February Ramelius's boss of exploration, Peter Ruzicka, presented at the R UI explorers' conference and naturally he gave some focus to the Cue project, including Break of Day. BoD is to be an open pit with 160koz of gold at 8.2g/t. At one point PR asked the rhetorical question "when was the last time you saw an open pit with that grade?" Apparently not that often but there is obviously one still to be mined just south of Caprice's block. He also went on to say that there appears to be several analogues of BoD to the north, which show on slide 12 of the deck to the immediate south of Caprice's tenement. PR also referred to two advanced targets, one of which is called Island West and which is indeed west of Caprice's Island project.

As you say, we will have a better idea of what Caprice has at the Island project when the assay results from the 30 new holes come in during this month. Also, could we be in for a short sharp sugar hit when LC and Caprice deliver the MRE for the New Orient mine site?
