Seems to be doing what AI so is good at .. recognising patterns and correlating them with classes, e.g will develop dkd or won't. I would sooner trust biomarkers since records can be subjective and inaccurate.
What would really be innovative would be to have AI proocess historical time series of blood proteins of a global population and find correlation with health outcomes to predict any condition that is predictable that way. Problem is we would all have to give blood as we fill up the tank at the browser. Would not be surprised if one day, what the scientists at piq do would be replaced by AI.
