It was the vision of lightweight strong alloys that drove the magnesite rush in Tasmania and Queensland tens years ago or; all that magnesite is still in the ground and perhaps we should be checking out who has the leases now. But if the world seriously adopts this Mg-Li alloy and substitutes it for iron or aluminium in carbodies and airframes it would put huge pressure on available Li stocks.
