I have a feeling that NEW will not be able to sell their Aussie assets at the expected price. This may not be a large issue as most of their assets are in the US. The exchange risk its still there on the equity component. A 25% discount to NAV is reasonable for these risks. Renewables should be a good investment however disfunctional electricity markets may affect the longer terms returns I am dipping my toes in the investment water.
