Yes and no re the song lines. A lot of it has to do with the innate conservatism of the culture and its resistance to change, and in the decision making process gaining 100% percent consensus. And I've rarely seen 100% consensus amongst the TO's on Groote...that's what's so significant about the TO's opposition to GOT. It is 100% consensus against, and that was gained within days of people becoming aware of their plans.

But trepanging won't be intrusive like seabed mining. It's not going to rip the shit out of the place-effect the water quality, water clarity etc, and fair dinkum anybody who suggests otherwise re GR's seabed proposals, in my opinion, needs to revisit earth from the plant they're on. People accuse me of hypocracy on this forum...honestly, for those people mouthing that you can have respect for culture and the environment and still go ahead with the Groote Project, that leaves any suggestion of any hypocracy I might have absolutely in the pale. 'Fess up and admit that this is about making money and be blowed any other cost such as environmental and cultural degradation. If GR are gonna go ahead with this, they're going to have to drop all that touchy feely rhetoric and meet the environmental and cultural stake holders in full frontal confrontation.
