I am somewhat amazed by your estimation of profit when I guarantee you have no idea what overheads are required to run the hardware so I'm curious how can you make such an assumption on information you have no idea about?
I agree, they should have provided some sort of guideline within the announcement, but they didn't, so it appears you are only making an uneducated guess.
Given technology updates at approx 3 years, I really doubt the company would make a deal that will see them short of at least $200K after that time, according to your figures.
