Yes you would think mak or haw would have to be in trading halt if something material had been struck between the two. From my experience this is what usually occurs ....
However I have seen it occur where one company halts and the other keeps on trading, which you would think would notbe allowed but it's certainly happened and people have profited or lost because of it.
