My understanding is that the ISP (Independant Scientific Panel) were to present their final report to the Qld Government by end of Dec 2012 and the Govt would make their decision after that time.

I seem to recall that I read somewhere in Dec that the report had been presented to the Govt.

As a related matter, the former CEO of Carbon Energy, Andrew Dash, (who has a chemical engineering degree), suddenly left his position late last year. Carbon Energy has trialled a small power station (5MW) using UCG in the Bloodwood Ck(Dalby) area. Perhaps he saw the writing on the wall.

It should be noted that, despite their CSIRO background, Carbon Energy did not match LNC in technical expertise.
The ISP has noted that LNC is the world leader in UCG.
