Even if Amgen do commercialise, do not think it necessarily relegates VLA to being a bit player. For one thing, judging from Bripoz' post I gather 16% of the Amgen product seemed to had a benefit. There is still 84% for whom the effect was not significant. Different horses for different courses may help us.
More importantly though, I believe all the various drug companies have cocktails of various drugs they use in unison. If one starts using Amgen's the others will hopefully look around for other Virotherapy drugs to add to their 'cocktail'.
Recall Brian D's opinion was that good news for any Virotherapy drug was good for all virotherapy drugs at this early stage.
