Sydney - Friday - August 3: (RWE Aust Business News) - WildHorse
Energy (ASX:WHE) with partner Spartan Resources, the Eurash JV, will
evaluate the development of a uranium project with Bakonyi Eromu Zrt, a
Hungarian electricity utility.
The project will be based on uranium extraction from coal ash at
Ajka.
Bakonyi owns large volumes of mining slag and fly ash as waste
from a coal-fired powewr station.
The Ajka site contains ash totalling almost 20m tonnes.
Uranium grades measured on these heaps range between 94 and
152ppm according to tests done between 1992 and 1995.
Uranium could conceivably be produced as early as 2009.
Eurash will complete a feasibility study to determine the
engineering and economic parameters for commercial development.
