Just to clear things up, the info has come from an independent analyst who provides research advice for the broking house. This analyst used to be employed by BHP as one of their expert coal analysts/advisors.
I don't think an independent person providing their opinion on a resource, based on their experience and knowledge, would be classed as insider trading.
The info provided could be completely off the mark, I've already heard many conflicting reports regarding the resource size, including another consultant who told me the resource will only be doubled not tripled so that leaves us with less than 1BT.
We'll all have to wait and see what the actual number is.
