The new appointment of Mr. Boswarva to the Board is a good and timely move by GLX given his background, depth of experience and the new phase that GLX is moving into (JORC, off-take agreements and pre-feasibility). They have a busy few months ahead and his experience should be a bonus.

Appointment of Legal and Commercial Non-Executive Director.
The Board of Directors of GulfX Limited (ASX:GLX), incorporating Syngas Energy Limited, are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ernest Boswarva to the Board, as a Non-Executive Director.

Mr. Boswarva has extensive international oil industry experience, gained over his 23 year career in both upstream and downstream production including both line and support roles within the industry. With his combined commercial and legal background (B.Proc, B.Comm (Hons), LLM, M.B.A) Ernest brings to the board both business acumen and experience in negotiating large-scale projects in culturally diverse environments. Ernest’s experience will strengthen the GulfX board’s skill base as the company moves into an important new phase involving the securing of product off-take agreements and major development partners, based on the pre-feasibility study outputs.

Mr. Boswarva’s career has included five years with Sasol Fuels Marketing (a subsidiary of Sasol Limited, a coal to liquid and gas to liquid production company and technology provider). He also held the position as Group Legal Manager/Company Secretary for Engen Petroleum Limited (previously Mobil South Africa and now majority owned by Petronas) and with Petronas Berhad, the National Oil Company of Malyasia, as General Manager Legal. He has also previously held an executive Board position within a polyethylene company in the Phillipines, a joint venture between Petronas and BP.

Recently Mr. Boswarva has provided legal advice for a South African joint venture party constructing a one million tonne world scale ethylene cracker along with two downstream polyethylene plants, in conjunction with the National Petrochemicals Company of Iran. During this time he established a local legal department and negotiated off-take agreements with adjoining plants.

The Board welcomes Mr. Boswarva and looks forward to the company benefiting from his contribution based on his breadth of capabilities and skills.
