NEW APPOINTMENTS TO SUNDANCE BOARD
EXPERIENCED IRON ORE EXECUTIVE GEOFF WEDLOCK APPOINTED AS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Sundance Resources Limited (ASX: SDL) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new independent
Non-Executive Director and two alternate Directors to provide significant additional board resources and
corporate expertise to assist the Company develop its flagship Mbalam Iron Ore Project.
Experienced Australian mining executive, Mr Geoff Wedlock, has been appointed to the Sundance Board as
a Non-Executive Director. Mr Wedlock has announced his resignation from his position as Managing Director
of Grange Resources Limited, a position he has held since February 2005.
Prior to joining Grange Resources, Mr Wedlock was Managing Director of a number of publicly listed resource
companies including successful mid-tier iron ore producer Portman Limited. Before that, he spent 32 years in a variety of roles with BHP, and was CEO of a major BHP business unit.
Mr Wedlock brings to Sundance extensive experience in resource project management and development, particularly in the international iron ore industry. He has significant commercial experience in dealings with financiers, international partners and customers, external parties and governments.
Commercial lawyer, Ms Caroline Keats, has been appointed as an Alternate Director to Sundance’s
Managing Director, Mr Don Lewis. Ms Keats is a lawyer with prominent Perth law firm Blakiston & Crabb,
where she practices in the areas of resource, commercial and corporate law with particular emphasis on advising companies with projects in Africa.
She holds a Bachelor of Business from Curtin University and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Queensland University of Technology. During this part year Ms Keats has worked closely with Mr Lewis and has developed a deep understanding of Sundance and its Cameroon operations.
Experienced Australian mining and finance executive, Mr Craig Oliver, has been appointed as an Alternate
Director to Sundance’s Director, Mr Alec Pismiris. Mr Oliver has extensive corporate, project development and
operational experience spanning over 15 years with publicly listed mining companies and, before that, as a
partner in a mid-tier Chartered Accounting Firm.
Mr Oliver is currently Finance Director of the successful
Perth-based nickel producer, Western Areas NL and is also a Non-Executive Director of De Grey Mining
Limited. Mr Oliver is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Sundance’s Chairman, Mr George Jones, said “The new appointments will provide significant additional
corporate and technical expertise to the Company and bring valuable resources to the Board to maintain an
appropriate balance of executive and independent, non-executive directors at all times in line with ASX
Corporate Governance guidelines and best practice.
