I think he must be trying to get FAR to retaliate on the newspaper front and hopefully let on as to what they are doing. FAR on the other hand is smarter than that and is playing the silent game, and I presume the reason is because they know that they are in the right and also they are now $ ready for the PE and just merely waiting for the restart.
