Actually Avatar Finance has been providing loan funds to the company for many years, on what are reasonable commercial terms. It definitely isn't a conflict of interest whatsoever (and has always been disclosed), but as you say it provides another level of comfort that the Chairman is confident this won't go belly up.
The Chairman has put a considerable amount of cash, always disclosed to the market, into a number of fund raisings over the years (from my memory in excess of $20 million)- and also at a time when nothing was going on at the appropriate timing (window allowed for) also purchased shares on market. I certainly have taken considerable comfort from that financial support.
