Whilst the euphoria of hindsight is flowing, let's consider this company announcement, 16 January 2006.

Note to all the noobs: Avita Medical (AVH) was known as Clinical Cell Culture (CCE, AKA C3) back then.

In that January 2006 announcement,

"The FDA has completed its review of ReCell® and has indicated that additional
performance data is required to be submitted in order to allow the FDA to fully assess C3’s
application."

...

"The FDA has formally stated that it wishes to work with C3 to enable clearance to be
obtained as quickly as possible with the least burdensome approach. The FDA at this time
point has identified no other issues or concerns."

One might have though in 2006, that conclusion of the FDA trial may not have been far away at all.

When one considers the announcements at that time, it's outright insulting to refer to any investors at that time as "dumb".
