    "Ellison-backed rival AWE bid surfaces

    Chris Ellison’s Mineral Resources is set to table a $530 million scrip offer for AWE in an effort to trump China Energy Reserve And Chemical Group’s $460m cash offer.

    It is believed the bid, at a price of about 80c per share — compared to CERCG’s 73c cash offer — will be released this morning."
