There is no miracle cure yet. These drugs only control. GT is looking like the only possible way they will cure HIV fully. It appears that early GT trials may have some results soon. They too may only provide limited success, so far. There are a number of GT trials being done by the one company which are all a little different and attack the virus in slightly different ways. It is unclear as to whether they may provide a functional cure, a true cure or control. As I said before, it is also possible that the GT vectors are not getting to the reserviors, thereby creating a need for better vectors, OR an adjunct drug. Interesting times.
