On a higher level, its not coincidental to see the rise of trump in response to the rise of China, this is a time Chinese wants to write its own rules, and a time when US will defend it at all costs. Thus the trade war, which is the most decent form of clashing, so much more clashing happens in other area too, this is going to be a new age of cold war, not going to settle for a long time.
