On the assumption AS is out, maybe another what's the possible plan and more importantly, what is the hiring process?

I might suggest that AS will stay on as the chairman but imagine all bets are off in this regard with Amgen coming on board.

If he is how would a new CEO be appointed?

Personally, I would like to see Orbimed/Amgen acting as a consultative pair in this process. They have experience, possibly contacts and runs on the board with their processes in place. To that end, is there anyone inside good enough? If so, would we want them?

From external the options are also several:

- Someone with a management background with strong fiscal control
- a needle expert
- pharma insider with experience in manufacturing
- figurehead with contacts and others placed around her.
- someone from inside Amgen perhaps as a two year placement or full timer.
...or another option

This is something I have been considering since reading the phrase "management changeS".
