Where do you obtain this information from?
The ASX does not publish the average number of shares on issue amongst companies, but they do publish a range of mkt cap figures.
Current mean mkt cap for Emerging Companies Index (XEC) is 121.72M, while the median mkt cap of same is 113.68M.
Current mean mkt cap for Small Ordinaries Index (XSO) is 713.51M, while the median mkt cap of same is 515.59M.
OEL was included in the 2013 March Q ASX All Ords (XAO) rebalance where the current mean mkt cap is 3,012.22M and the median mkt cap of same is 398.79M. OEL is # 342 on the XAO.
