He is an interesting guy, however his background is somewhat contradictory, here is a quote from a couple of years ago, in relation to James Price Point (he was for it happening).
'We've gotta break these cycles and if it means compromising on some of the things and finding a balance with development...We've gotta try something different.'
So the article you link to shows he is either simply trying to use every avenue to bargain harder with BRU/Mitsu, or he has gone back on his word in regards to looking to compromise to ensure that the same cycle of issues don't plague the next generation of Aboriginals.
