    That's not a bad point. With self drive, accidents should drop massively. Therefore, the repair industry will be affected greatly.

    Given that most autonomous vehicles will be fleet owned, their maintenance regimes will be completely different. Much less maintenance with evs but also much more regular programmed maintenance rather than random repair work.

    Back to accidents, or lack of them. Accidents in Australia cost billions per year when everything is taken into consideration. So, the reduction in accidents will affect everyone from hospitals, emergency services, insurance, repair industry, road design, productivity etc.

    On the other side of that, the increase of mobility for the oldies, the non drivers, the disables, kids etc should stimulate other areas I reckon.

    Big changes coming. They'll be great. Fancy a time when deaths from car accidents are not acceptable or tolerated anymore ?
