Let me preface all of the following by saying that I have just got home from a lovely evening out on the town with the Duchess and I am yet to read the lasted CCZ report.
I sense there is some suspicion regarding the choice of Delaware as the state for registration of UniCorp. I am aware that this is the state of choice for a large number of corporations in the US and I presumed this was for tax reasons. I have done a little research tonight however couldnt find anything substantive explaining why, however Im sure it is primarily tax based.
Great to see some input from new faces however I think we are getting a little ahead of ourselves re take over. All this talk of take over sends a shiver up my spine..... $5, $10, $15, $20??? What price would you be happy with? In 6 months, a year, 2 or 3???
I suspect we are a little way off these scenarios. I seem to recall AS saying at the AGM that anyone wanting to take us over would have to pay a handsome price. Let us consider the shareholding stratification;
Shareholding/No. of holders/No. of shares 1 to 1k/1,736/932k 1k to 5k/3k/8.7m 5k to 10k/1.3k/11.1m 10k to 100k/2k/65.6m 100k and over/373/158m
And then there is the 96m shares (31%) held by the top 20, which one are you again BS?
So, of the shareholders sitting on +100k shares, they make up 4% of the total number of shareholders and hold 65% of the total number of shares.
With such a large chunk of the company being held tightly by a small number of hands I feel that a hostile takeover which is not in the interests of shareholders unlikely.
