I still can't agree with the concept of a sellout/takeover of GNC.
However, after reading article in The Age today about GNC and thoughts / directions proposed by new CEO who is now in job for 7 weeks, I have a better feeling about him and development of company in future with diversification of supply chains etc.
I think he has the company's interests at heart.
Maybe it's the chairman & board who are the mob who need a swift propulsive boot to create some vision.
At the end of the day I am not keen to see the marketing of our ag products (and other raw materials as well) controlled by offshore traders who, when going gets tough, push their own nationalistic allegiances ahead of the interests of Australia & it's producers.
Its in all likelihood that (some of) these operators will arrange their affairs in such a way so as to make a minimal contribution to the Aust tax revenue.
Joint ventures I could live with .. Takeovers no way.
