I cannot lay the blame of OGX's shareprice at the feet of Mark P, ...because the course of action the company took was the only one available to it at the time AFAICT.

We know there is gold in the system, but it would have been prohibitively expensive to TRY to locate it by diamond drilling.  Unfortunately for us, the northern area of the mine didn't have the high grade gold and added to that, the processing plant didn't perform as well as in the testing stage (why I'm not sure).

Also (apparently), because of the inferior assay lab arrangements, we were not to know this until it was too late.  If the gold was there at between 12-17g/tonne (as hoped by me), we would have been successful from the outset despite the processing plant deficiencies.

Anyway, none of this is particularly relevant, because Mark P will soon be gone and the announcement above makes this abundantly clear.  We should count ourselves as very lucky that he is prepared to stay on to provide assistance to his successor in the transitioning stage.  The only contact I have had with Mark is by emails (that became a little heated at times).  I think we should not make him into a scapegoat.

Humphrey, I remain optimistic about our future, but I also support shareholder efforts to keep any board accountable, particularly in relation to reigning in costs and improving efficiency (effective communication has also been an issue IMHO).  I'm happy to support positive & constructive suggestions.  I'll send you an email to make contact.
