DVM International Ltd Announces Appointment of New CEO
and Change of Directors
Dear Sir/Madam
DVM International Ltd today announced a Board and Management restructure to build
the Company and evaluate and progress new and existing project opportunities.
In a strategic move that will significantly strengthen DVM’s Management, Mr Ivan Burgess
has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and Director, effective immediately. In
conjunction with Mr Burgess’ appointment, DVM will open an operational office in Perth,
Western Australia.
As well as reviewing new opportunities for DVM, Mr Burgess will evaluate the South China
Project which was acquired during 2006. The Company has a 17.5% interest in this
project which is pursuing opportunities in the China petroleum market, as described in
previous DVM announcements to the ASX.
Mr Burgess is a geologist with 30 years professional experience obtaining his BSc(Hons)
from the University of Western Australia. Much of his career has been associated with the
Oil and Gas industry. He has extensive successful experience in running both ASX and
AIM (London) listed companies where he has held various positions as Managing Director
and Chief Executive Officer. He has a proven record of identifying quality projects. A
number of these have lead to commercial discoveries.
Previously, Mr Burgess was the inaugural CEO of Norwest Energy NL, a company listed on
the ASX and was directly responsible for that company being involved in the Puffin, Cliff
Head and Jingamira Oil Fields. Following his resignation from Norwest he spent a number
of years running Black Rock, a company he took on as a shell. He was responsible for
building that company's asset base and market profile and was responsible for acquiring
Black Rock's interest in its North Sea gas field and Colombian oil fields. Later he was
introduced the Bolivar Oil Field to Infinity Oil Limited, a company intending to undertake
an IPO. He has also advised a number of companies seeking to list and those seeking
acquisitions.
DVM has also appointed Robert Marusco to its Board of Directors as Chairman. Mr
Marusco is a CPA and a director of the South Perth based accounting firm Nissen Kestel
Harford.
The Company advises that Mr Ross Kestel has resigned as a director and Chairman of the
board due to other business pressures. DVM thanks Mr Kestel for his significant
contribution to DVM.
Yours faithfully
Simon Headon
