Not exactly impressed with this new appointment. Based on his CV he looks like an engineer more interested in the technology than in running a hugely profitable business. None of his business interests (waste management, biofuels, renewables) are hugely profitable enterprises - in fact many in this space have gone broke.
This company's pressing need is to be profitable. I think they are aware of this and signs are encouraging, but a chairman with more business/profit/deal making experience would seem more appropriate.
