S32 recently moved to acquire a percentage ownership in the existing Sierra Gorda copper mine in Chile.
A new leftist President has been elected, promising to block an unpopular mining project, and to redistribute wealth towards poorer citizens.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out, given the richest copper resources are in Chile.
