New coal mine's waste management license approved"Resgen has been granted a Waste Management License for its proposed Boikarabelo Coal Mine near Lephalale. The license was issued by the National Department of Environmental Affairs on 18 January for the construction of a temporary hazardous waste storage facility, sewage treatment plants and a landfill site. In terms of Chapter 7 of the 2010 EIA Regulations, a notice of intention to appeal against the decision must be lodged within 20 days (06 February 2013) from the date of the issue of the licence."
