No doubt IPL will post record profits maybe even for two years, but share price is the reflection of commulative free cash flows, this indicates the trend for soft commodity prices may be peaking indiciating that this is a peak in profit for IPL in the medium term. Similar to BHP, their most recent announcement was highest ever profit for them but their share price languishes near its 12 month low. Share price doesnt always track directly with the most recent profit or upcoming profit announcements, they are simply a factor. However I believe at $4 or high $3s IPL is a good buy.
