We're social beings and by implication we look after others (mate)
as well as ourselves. Our whole evolution and prominence as a species whether
it be rearing children, looking after the ill or old , organising ourselves
for the benefit of society generally or even in war, we have prospered
by being social animals , not being loners.
Even our sense of self is mostly socially defined
but i guess the socially alienated would appreciate
that less than a normal socialised person...eh?
