As a civilised person, do you think that protecting others is also
    important?

There is a difference between liberty & freedom
of which I subscribe to the former and its what makes us social
    amimals...eh?

"In philosophy, liberty involves free will as contrasted with determinism. ... Thus liberty entails the responsible use of freedom under the rule of law without depriving anyone else of their freedom. Freedom is more broad in that it represents a total lack of restraint or the unrestrained ability to fulfill one's desires.: (wikipedia)

Given that, mate, an uncharitable person might suggest a hermit's life for you to suit your self-centred point of view
where the only sexual gratification would be a good wank and if you went blind, then so be it.

I , however, would never wish such fate on you because I believe among other things that HC
has educational potential and we all have the ability to learn.
