But if you do the math on 700,000tons multiplied by 2000lbs per ton that equals 1.4 billion pounds, that figure of .335% could not be true for all of the tails material because it would work out to far more than 40 years, I think the average grade overall is somewhere just under .2% to get anywhere near that 40 years!
.335% means that they only got slightly more than 50% of the of the o.7% available that would mean that somewhere over 40% of the U235 would still be in there in the tails!
That may apply to some tails material but the average amount left must be far less than that to get to 40 years worth at 5.2 million pounds per year?
But bloody hell 25% more would have to be a great deal for Cameco with new material than what the competitors could provide?
