Are you in Australia? First load took forever on my desktop, better on mobile. Try full refresh of the homepage (usually ctrl+F5 in browsers on Windows).
Fingers waiting 15 seconds for something to start hapenning is not at all good first impression. New design is ok and way better on mobile than old - kind of average or above average from what I see when reading about other similar companies. I did not have time to go through content yet but contentwise I was happy with the old site so I guess I will be happy with new too.
