Fair point Jimbo about the power plants,
ECT was pushing for IGCC some time back but then decided to show how much cheaper it would be to push for USC. Now there seems to be loads of cash around to help alternative uses for brown coal thats great
ECT can certainly jump to that challenge.
HOWEVER Latrobe Valley is the base load ground zero for Victoria's power generation and considering IF there is a Carbon tax they may be forced to gassify the coal because they will not be allowed to build any new coal plants
An integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) is a technology that turns coal into gas?synthesis gas (syngas).
Also I noticed some CTL talk, Why spend money drying the coal when ECT could do it for them... ?
