G'day Renton et al,
I think your comments need to be put in some perspective.
I have not seen it acknowledged here that two directors have relinquished their board seats to concentrate on their executive roles, thus they will not be drawing director's fees.
As you put it, 'anyone who has been in the market for a while' would realise the value of having representation on the board able to make decisions 'removed' from the day to day workings. That is not to say Mr Halverson will not be a hands on, or involved director, but part of his role will be to eye the bigger picture.
This is a little like the respective roles of the House of Reps & the Senate if you like. Personally, I think the appointee has the potential to be a huge asset to the company, and blind freddy could see he wouldn't be coming 'on board' if he thought differently.
If anybody is thinking of investing in this technology for the first time, they should not limit their research to this discussion board, however I hope recent postees are a sign that discussion about the company, critical as it may be entitled to be, attempts to be constructively so.
Positive regards,
Lilac
