the typical "looney" is the person who thinks he's a member of the "bigger herd" and that being in that herd is a great virtue. The others just think and try to use reason and understanding. One lot of thinkers consists of those who were fortunate enough to be alive at a time when intelligence was praised and encouraged: Ancient Greece, for example. The other lot of thinkers consists of those who were unfortunate enough to live in times when intelligence was despised. Rome and the rest of the world until Renaissance and now: Those akin to Leonardo Da Vinci, Galileo Galileii etc.
