re: doubts on wtc collapse/how 2 start a war Hi dlux,

Very interesting, controversial and skewed reading.

On the basis of what the article states, everything involving the Americans has been the subject of pre-positioned hoaxes, and deliberate foils.

I am, therefore, somewhat surprised not to see one single observation suggesting anything having been done wrong by the Germans and other Axis /Central powers of WW2/WW1, or indeed of the earlier colonial and centralist conquests by Europeans, and throughout Europe in the late 18th and well into the 19th centuries.

As for Japan surrendering prior to the invasion (etc), why is it that throughout its history, Japan had never been successfully invaded - by the Chinese, the Mongols, or by anybody?

Add to this the following article extract, and circumstances could well have been somewhat different (especially regarding the timing of Typhoon Louise which swept through Okinawa on 9th October 1945 and destroyed >270 USA ships):
    http://home.att.net/~sallyann4/invasion4.html

The damage done by Typhoon Louise at the time would likely have crippled the allied invasion of Japan, as the following extract demonstrates:
"If the war had not ended on 2 September, this damage, especially the grounding and damage to 107 amphibious craft (including the wrecking of four tank landing ships, two medium landing ships, a gunboat, and two infantry landing craft) would likely have seriously impacted the planned invasion of Japan (Operation Olympic)."

See the following extract for more information:
    http://www.history.navy.mil/faqs/faq102-6.htm

Japan was to be defended by garrison forces /militia numbering >25M, vs an allied invasion force <1/10 the size.

See the following extract for more information:
    http://www.centurychina.com/wiihist/hiroshima/ytruman.htm#30m

    From that extract:
"Marshall also knew from the Magic decrypts that the Japanese home islands were to be defended from invasion and occupation by 2.3 million troops, another four million Army and Navy employees and a newly created armed militia numbering 25 million. These defenders were sworn to fight to the death, which so many Japanese troops had done in battles throughout the Pacific."

    And:
"To effectively invade and occupy Japan, American strategists foresaw two invasions, scheduled for November 1945 and March 1946. The first invasion, on the island of Kyushu. would employ some 770,000 American troops. The follow-up invasion on the plains of Tokyo, leading to the forced occupation of Japan, called for two million American troops."

As for the likely American casualties, these too had been estimated:
"MacArthur's chief surgeon, Brig. Gen. Guy Denit, estimated that a 120-day campaign to invade and occupy only the island of Kyushu would result in 395,000 casualties."

See, the following extract for more information:
    http://www.centurychina.com/wiihist/hiroshima/ytruman.htm#30m

I, therefore, find it somewhat surprising regarding everything American being a conspiracy, and everything non-American being the opposite.

In 2005, American bashing still seems to be a favoured sport. Nonetheless, this also probably demonstrates why the Americans need to be judicious with their behaviour (a quality that can, at times, be challenged in the modern environment). But other nations need to also do the same.

America being wrong does not necessarily make the RoW right.

Nor does the RoW being right necessarily make America wrong.
