Between Timor and the Sunrise discovery is one of the deepest trenches in the world. Sunrise discovery is on the Australian continental shelf and because of the trench does not extend into Timor waters. Any sharing of revenues is just diplomicy and has nothing to do with geographical ownership, also because of political stability you would be hard pushed to find a company to invest in infastucture in East Timor when the other choice is Australia. Hope this helps some people understand.
